As an outdoor destination committed to sustainable development, we want to do our part to protect our planet. The 1% for the Planet movement enables us to pursue this mission.

The planet's cry from the heart

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is categorical in its 5th Assessment Report, concluding that humans are indeed the main cause of climate change.

For its part, the United Nations (UN) states that "climate change is the defining issue of our time, and we are at a critical juncture. [Without immediate action, it will be much more difficult and costly to adapt to the future consequences of these changes".

Vallée Bras-du-Nord is committed to donating 1% of its annual sales to Quebec environmental organizations dedicated to preserving Quebec ecosystems and fighting climate change.

This means that when you purchase a product or take advantage of a service offered by our cooperative, an amount corresponding to 1% of your purchase before taxes will be donated to the Fonds Plein Air 1% for the planet who contribute :

Protecting or restoring Quebec ecosystems;
Offsetting the carbon emissions of our businesses;
Fighting climate change.

For the sake of transparency, we are committed to keeping you informed, through an annual report on our various platforms, of the actions that will be undertaken within the Fonds Plein Air 1% for the planet.

This commitment to return 1% of our sales to the Fonds Plein Air 1% for the planet is one of many commitments we are making to ensure the sustainable development of our activities and our region.

It's very important for our cooperative to demonstrate consistency in our commitments, and this gesture is precisely in line with our social mission to protect our natural resources and promote a healthy lifestyle.
