Revamped Trails for an Epic and Breathtaking Experience!

19 September, 2024

Vallée Bras-du-Nord, a true gem of outdoor adventure and sustainable development, is proud to announce major improvement work on two of its iconic trails: the Montagne Art Trail and the Falaises Trail. These enhancements aim to provide hikers with an even more immersive and awe-inspiring experience, while honoring the harmony of the land and promoting greater access to nature for all.

A Redesigned Trail for Breathtaking Panoramas

The Falaises Trail has been completely redesigned, featuring a brand-new route along much of its length. On this unique 17 km adventure, hikers will climb nearly 700 meters in elevation to reach breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the ancient glacial valley. Skirting a spectacular cliffside, the trail delivers a grandiose experience that perfectly captures the epic spirit of Vallée Bras-du-Nord. Outdoor enthusiasts in search of adventure can spend the night at the renowned Des Falaises Shelter, where they’ll enjoy majestic views of the Delaney Falls through its large windows.

The Montagne Art Trail, spanning nearly 8 km round trip, features a cumulative ascent of 315 meters leading to the cozy shelter of the same name. Thanks to recent upgrades, the trail now offers new scenic viewpoints and redesigned sections for a more enjoyable hiking experience. This journey through the wild beauty of Vallée Bras-du-Nord is a must for anyone seeking both physical effort and visual reward.

An Accessible and Diverse Trail Network

With nearly 80 km of hiking trails, Vallée Bras-du-Nord offers experiences for all skill levels, from beginner hikers to avid trail runners. Our trails are designed so that everyone can enjoy the territory’s unique landscapes—especially in autumn, when vibrant red maples and colorful mountains transform the valley into a picturesque canvas. Outdoor enthusiasts will find here an unparalleled playground to reconnect with nature.

A Collaborative and Sustainable Project

This redevelopment project was made possible thanks to a significant financial investment from Québec’s Ministry of Education – Department of Sport, Recreation, Physical Activity and the Outdoors, and the dedicated efforts of our trail teams working over multiple seasons. We also wish to highlight the invaluable contribution of the En Marche Project, a social initiative that allows local youth—distanced from the job market—to actively participate in the creation and maintenance of trails as part of a process of social reintegration and personal growth. This initiative embodies the values of solidarity and cooperation at the heart of Vallée Bras-du-Nord’s mission.

An Unforgettable Fall at Vallée Bras-du-Nord

This fall, Vallée Bras-du-Nord is THE must-visit destination to admire breathtaking landscapes and enjoy the new experiences offered by our revamped trails. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply a nature lover, let yourself be captivated by the stunning beauty of the Valley—where every step brings you closer to an epic adventure!
