The Desjardins Yurt Village
Less than a 1 km walk from Accueil Shannahan via the Beaver Trail
Many nomads living in Central Asia use yurts as their habitat.
This round tent is made of a wooden frame over which a sturdy, insulated canvas is stretched. It comprises a single room lit by a skylight at the top. The large windows give the impression of being immersed in nature in a rustic environment. The wood-burning stove provides comfort and warmth in winter.
Maximum capacity is 4 adults and 2 children.
The village comprises 8 yurts.
Arrival time: 2pm - Departure time: 11am.
Please note that all lodging guests must visit Accueil Shannahan to complete their final reservation procedures and obtain their activity access rights.
Getting to the yurt
No car access nearby. Personal belongings must be carried on foot for almost 1 km (600 m to 1 km depending on the yurt reserved). One cart or sled (depending on the season) per yurt is available for the duration of your stay to help transport your luggage. We strongly suggest that you carry your personal belongings in a backpack and keep the wagon/sled for heavier items (e.g. cooler, water, etc.).
